AI Deep Dive at SWARM: Ekium, Keolis, and UIMM Trial BL.Predict

To go beyond the theoretical promises of industrial AI, BLPredict welcomed Ekium, Keolis and UIMM to the SWARM campus for a hands-on immersion. On the program: real-life demonstrations, detection of weak signals and cross-industry exchanges.

Things to remember

A far cry from theoretical discourses, this meeting was resolutely “Test before Invest” oriented: demonstrating, in real-life conditions, the concrete value of industrial AI before any technological commitment.

A strong need for tangible proof

In industry, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence still too often comes up against a major obstacle: the absence of concrete use cases tested in real-life conditions.

It is precisely to meet this challenge that BLPredict, as the trusted third party of the SWARM innovation campus, welcomed three key delegations in November:

  • Ekium, engineering specialist, invited by our partner Visiativ,
  • Keolis, a key player in the transport sector,

  • and UIMM, representing the metalworking industries.

This convergence of industrial and territorial players marks a growing interest in AI solutions that are operational, measurable and immediately activatable.

Real-life demonstrations on SWARM lines

To go beyond theoretical promises, the BLPredict team has connected its platform directly to the equipment and demonstrators on the SWARM campus.

Visitors were able to observe in real time AI’s ability to :

  • detect weak signals on critical equipment (motors, robots, automated islands, mechanical systems),

  • automatically forward alerts to an industrial after-sales service portal (offered by Visiativ: Industrial Customer Service Portal),

  • integrate this information into a modern, centralized CMMS(CARL Source),

  • facilitate rapid, objective and collaborative decision-making.

This immersion demonstrated the benefits of integrating AI into the maintenance ecosystem, from early detection to trouble ticketing.

A wealth of exchanges thanks to a cross-sectoral approach

The strength of this meeting lay in the complementary nature of the participants.

  • Keolis, with its rolling stock availability challenges.

  • Ekium, with its vision of engineering and support for digital transformation.

  • The UIMM, a federation of manufacturers for whom operational performance is the key to competitiveness.

Despite the diversity of sectors, one thing is clear:
asset availability remains the top priority, whether it’s a bus, an industrial robot or an assembly line.

This convergence reinforces the importance of cross-functional solutions like BLPredict, capable of adapting to a variety of industrial environments.

This meeting shows that AI applied to industry is only convincing when it is :

  • visible,

  • measurable,

  • connected to the field,

  • and integrated into the business ecosystem.

SWARM: a unique ecosystem for testing and validating innovation

The SWARM campus offers an unrivalled platform for experimenting with advanced technologies, connecting businesses and accelerating innovation.
BLPredict finds it an ideal platform for :

  • test AI under production conditions,

  • compare actual usage,

  • promote synergies between manufacturers, schools, experts and technology suppliers,

  • build reliable, pragmatic “Test before Invest” programs.

This dynamic is fully in line with our strategy of openness and shared innovation, already illustrated by our BL Research team, dedicated to Innovation and Research within the Group, and through our scientific and industrial collaborations.
