Because we’re all concerned by the Energy Sobriety Plan and the Decarbonization Strategy, it seemed only natural to extend the deployment of our BLPredict AI/IoT platform to… our own premises!

As part of the Berger-Levrault Group’s internal CSR policy, the aim is to :
- Controlling electricity consumption
- Reduce your energy bill
- Improving employee comfort
Our answer
In addition to actively participating in the energy challenge, the deployment of BLPredict on our premises further emphasizes the benefits of a frugal digital approach to achieving real, short-term ecological impacts.
Deployment
- 24 IoT sensors developed by Adeunis are distributed throughout the 3 buildings
- Data collected: internal and external temperature, carbon dioxide, humidity level, energy and pressure from air handling units, luminosity, external weather conditions, energy consumption and pressure level of air conditioning/datacenter compressors, operating temperature of server farms, energy consumption level of server farms, control setpoints for heating and air conditioning systems, electrical sub-metering by use (lighting, office sockets, etc.).

Some benefits
7% reduction in total electricity consumption, i.e. 4.2 tonnes of CO2 avoided
An estimated internal rate of return of €8,350 in just one and a half months, for an estimated monthly rate of €6,000 per month
Savings of 24% over 4 months by adjusting heating settings according to outside temperature for better heat distribution, particularly in the entrance hall and specific rooms (Labège site).
A 5% reduction in electricity consumption in 2 months, thanks to repairs to the free-cooling system, the installation of programmable sockets and adjustments to temperature settings (Limonest site).
Identification of heating system malfunction, source of major thermal disparities, currently being repaired (Villeneuve-sur-Lot site).
What next?
Measurements taken to monitor CO2 levels and temperatures now show a satisfactory level of comfort. We will then use the data collected to enrich our analysis models for building energy efficiency.

We chose to equip our own premises, partly in response to our commitment to a more sustainable world for all, and partly to benefit from a site available 24/7 to test our service evolutions.
Our ambition is also to deploy BLPredict at other Group sites, in order to continue optimizing our infrastructures, while adapting them as closely as possible to the working methods of our flex-office employees.
BLPredict x Adeunis partnership

Deployment of the BLPredict platform is combined here with IoT technology provided by connected object integrator Adeunis. More specifically, we are using :
- Smart Delta P : for supervision of ventilation system maintenance
- COMFORT SERENITY: optimizing air quality and indoor comfort in buildings
- PULSE: making all pulse meters communicative
